OAS FCU World Cup Contest - Agreement and Disclosures

OAS FCU QATAR 2022 WORLD CUP CONTEST RULES

Competition entry rules:
This contest is open to all members of OAS FCU, both main accountholders and joint account owners, who are at least 18 years of age at the start of this competition. Only one entry will be allowed per person per stage; nobody may compete using different email addresses or name variations. Failure to observe this rule, if detected, will result in their disqualification from the competition.

You will participate through a series of emails that you will receive in your account's email address on record. You may also participate in each stage of the competition by registering through our Facebook page, Home banking or Signature Banner, where you will be asked to provide your full name and email address where you will want to receive future competition emails. If the email address does not match your account's address on record, you will undergo an email address verification process.

To qualify to win you must also visit OAS FCU’s Facebook page and “Like” it to follow us.

The prizes:

There will be one cash prize for each of the five stages of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: the groups’ stage, the round of 16, the quarter finals, semifinals, and the final, plus an additional "Soccer Knowledge Award".

Groups Stage: one $100 prize that will be deposited into the winner’s OAS FCU account.
Round of 16: one $100 prize that will be deposited into the winner’s OAS FCU account.
Quarter final: one $100 prize that will be deposited into the winner’s OAS FCU account.
Semifinal: one $100 prize that will be deposited into the winner’s OAS FCU account.
Final: one $100 prize that will be deposited into the winner’s OAS FCU account.
Soccer Knowledge Award: one $200 prize that will be deposited into the winner’s OAS FCU account.

The competitions: 
There will be five different competitions plus the Soccer Knowledge Award. You may elect to compete in any of the five stages, or all of them. Participation in one competition does not automatically include your participation in any of the other stages of the Qatar World Cup Competition, as you will be required to make choices for which you will receive a score each time.

If you do not compete in one stage of the competition, you may still compete in any of the others.

The Soccer Knowledge Award: You will be automatically registered to compete for this prize by having participated in any of the five stages or in all of them. Each correct answer will generate a point. The winner will be the one who has accumulated the most points throughout the first 4 stages. 

How to compete:
OAS FCU will send you one email announcing the competition, and the link to participate in the Groups Stage competition. You will receive on reminder after that. By participating in the Groups Stage competition you will be automatically registered for the rest of the stages and the Soccer Knowledge Award. You will receive periodic emails with links to vote in each stage of the competition.

OAS FCU will allow you also to sign up and participate to the competition via its Facebook Page, Home Banking and our signature banner by entering your name and email address during any stage of the OAS FCU World Cup Contest.

The mechanics of the competition:
You will receive periodic emails with a personalized link each time that will give you access to the current voting process underway. If you lose that link, you may request a new copy via the Facebook Page, Home Banking and our Signature Banner by entering your name and email address. Note: if you lose the second email link for one single stage competition, you won't be able to request the link a third time, and will be disqualified from participating in the competition for that stage. You will be able to compete in any remaining stages after that.

Groups Stage: Which teams will play the Round of 16?
You will be asked to select which 16 teams you believe will move to the Round of 16. For every correct answer you will earn one point. The participant with the highest number of points will win $100. If there is a tie for points among two or more contestants at the end of the groups phase, OAS FCU will select one winner among them, at random, in front of two witnesses who will certify the name of such winner.

Round of 16: Which teams will play the Quarter Finals?
You will be asked to select which 8 teams you believe will move to the Quarter Finals. For every correct answer you will earn one point. The participant with the highest number of points will win $100. If there is a tie for points among two or more contestants at the end of the Round of 16 stage, OAS FCU will select one winner among them, at random, in front of two witnesses who will certify the name of such winner.

Quarter Finals: Which teams will play the Semifinals?
You will be asked to select which 4 teams you believe will move to the Semifinals. For every correct answer you will earn one point. The participant with the highest number of points will win $100. If there is a tie for points among two or more contestants at the end of the quarter finals phase, OAS FCU will select one winner among them, at random, in front of two witnesses who will certify the name of such winner.

Semifinals: Which teams will play the Finals?
You will be asked to select which 2 teams you believe will move to the Finals. For every correct answer you will earn one point. The participant with the highest number of points will win $100. If there is a tie for points among two or more contestants at the end of the groups phase, OAS FCU will select one winner among them, at random, in front of two witnesses who will certify the winner.

The Final: Who will be the next World Champion? 
You will choose which team, in your belief, will win the World Cup. Among all those participants who selected the correct winner, OAS FCU will select at random and two witnesses who will certify the name of the winner of the $100 final prize.

Soccer Knowledge Award: 
For every correct answer throughout the entire competition, you will earn one point. At the end of the competition stage, the participant with the highest number of points will win $200. If there is a tie for points among two or more contestants at the end of the competition, OAS FCU select at random, among all those who tied and in front of two witnesses who will certify the name of the winner of the $200 prize.
Prize drawing schedule: If a drawing is necessary to determine a winner of each of the prizes at any stage of the competition, that drawing will take place on the morning of the first business day after each stage and the final end, and that the Credit Union is open.


Announcement of winners: during the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the winner of each stage contest will be announced on OAS FCU’s Facebook page. Additionally, at the end of the competition and after all winners have been determined, OAS FCU will post the full list of winners on its Facebook page in a final post.

The information will remain available for inspection for a minimum of 30 days from the end of the World Cup.

Each individual winner will also be notified via email. 

Tax issues: The Credit Union will report the prize winnings to the appropriate state and federal agencies as required by applicable law. Each winner is responsible for all tax consequences (if any) of the prize.

Publicity: 
By accepting of the prize, each winner agrees to allow the Credit Union to use his/her name, pictures and likeness in promotional and other Credit Union materials, without additional compensation or permission, except were prohibited by law.
 
Other Agreement to receive electronic notices:
When you sign up to receive the emails regarding the competition’s voting periods, you are also ratifying your agreement to receive electronic notifications from OAS FCU, as stated on our Electronic Signatures in accordance to the Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) Policy.
